When you are near, my gaze is only for you
The depth of your eyes comforts me with a warm and welcoming embrace
The sparkle in your eyes both speeds and yet lightens my heart
While your smile draws me close ‘til your breath envelopes me
Like the softest and yet most compelling of lovers,
When we cannot touch
I close my eyes
And find myself embracing you yet again
And I see that same smile that knows
And holds me close,
And so, I am drawn to you whether you are near or far
And consider myself the luckiest among men and gods
To have found you once again.
